Before Cindy's entrepreneurial spirit took her out of the corporate arena, she spent 9 years in leadership positions in Human Resource Management at Data General Corporation and McCormack and Dodge Corporation. Drawing from her passion for developing others and her success as an internal corporate partner and advisor, Cindy established her own Leadership Development and Executive Coaching business in 1986. Cindy and her colleagues work with high performance individuals and teams across many industries, including high tech, financial services, consumer products, health care, client services, insurance, manufacturing, and education. She focuses on helping executives, senior managers, and high potential individual contributors master practices that allow them to meet or exceed their business goals while attaining a sense of well-being and balance. She works with both non-profit organizations and for-profit companies of all sizes. Recent clients include: Foundation for Jewish Camping, B.J.'s Wholesale Club; Fidelity Investments; Winstanley Enterprises; H.C. Starck; and Stride Rite. In addition, Cindy is an adjunct faculty member of the University of New Hampshire. Recognized in 2007 as one of Boston's Top Ten Coaches by the Women's Business Boston, Cindy has been a contributor to national trade and business journals and holds a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Vermont. She is a Certified Professional Coach and is certified to administer leadership, personal, and team assessment instruments, including: the Index for Emotional Intelligence; Personal Interests, Attitudes and Values (PIAV); DISC; Platinum Rule Personal Style Assessment; and StressMap. Cindy's ApproachHaving found that a vast majority of business challenges are based in communication failures, Cindy helps clients achieve communication mastery both at the individual and team levels. Using both formal and informal assessment tools Cindy helps her clients identify and build on their strengths and develop strategies to overcome their personal challenges. She provides a safe and supportive environment within which clients can practice new skills, guided by her insightful and clear feedback. As a direct result of Cindy's work, individuals experience an increased ability to forge effective work relationships and networks, and to influence others to get results. They enjoy increased creativity, stronger team alliances and effectiveness, greater personal fulfillment, and improved productivity.
